Pensions and Annuity Funds

SPAF was created for members of the Public Employees Pension Plan (PEPP) who want to purchase an annuity as a source of retirement income.
The Public Service Superannuation Plan provides lifetime pension benefits to those who worked in Saskatchewan’s public service prior to October 1, 1977 and did not elect to transfer to the Public Employees Pension Plan.
MEPP is a defined benefit pension plan administered by PEBA. MEPP provides retirement benefits to the employees of school divisions, urban and rural municipalities, regional colleges, regional public libraries and other local authorities within the Province of Saskatchewan.
PEPP is a defined contribution pension plan. Your contributions and your employer’s contributions, plus any return on investment, will be used to provide you with income based upon the account balance you have built, when you retire.
